Because everyone wants to see my pantyline...

UCSF makes every MEPN student wear white pants for clinical shifts during the first year. Now, I understand that there is a need to distinguish students from professionals, because really, I don't want to be confused with someone who actually knows what they are doing, but seriously people....

Let's discuss a few of the reasons why this is a very bad idea....

  1. Have you ever seen a pair of white pants stay clean for more than 5 minutes? Let alone when you're working around all sorts of nasty business?
  2. All white clothing items are see through, no matter what people say. It doesn't make a difference if they are thick or made of canvas or steel or whatever.... You can see through THEM.... which means...
  3. You can see people parts that are just totally unnecessary (ie, my pantyline, my pasty legs, that little part of my butt that rubs up against the pants).
  4. I thought there was some rule about white after Labor Day. Maybe it doesn't apply in California.
  5. Ew.

That's all....

I was wondering about that myself. I am very anti- white pants myself. (prob because I spill everything on myself) They should have done orange because it is noticable and plus you would be happy because you are at home in orange pants! :)

Oh well, I guess you are going to have to invest in some nude colored underwear!
